Amazing experience! We did a private class for our honeymoon and it was THE highlight of our whole trip! Francesca taught us how to make a tonnarelli pesto and a ravioli with red sauce. She was a great teacher and made it so easy and fun. 10/10 would recommend!

We have never done a cooking class and this one was phenomenal!! Francesca was so much fun and knowledgeable. We made 2 pasta dishes and tiramisu. Absolutely delicious! It was kind of nice as it was just us and another couple so had plenty of time to ask questions and was able to get to know her. Would 100% recommendation!!

So much fun! Pasta-making class. Francesca is absolutely amazing. She can make a chef out of a total incompetent. So patient!

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes: it's a private class for university groups, Erasmus students and study abroad programs. The room at Piazza Margana 22 is reserved just for your group, there's a single menu for everyone, and each person cooks with their own hands.
The menu is one of our classes, chosen when you book: for example, fresh pasta rolled out by hand, pizza stretched and baked, Roman sauces made in the pan, or gelato. The aperitivo menu also includes an Aperol Spritz. At the end you sit down at the table and eat what you've made.
By default, the lesson is in English. Since it's a private class, the group can ask for it in Italian or Spanish when booking.
We leave out pork in every menu except carbonara, where it's the heart of the dish; the same goes for meat, for vegetarians. We can't, however, guarantee halal or kosher food. Dietary needs must be shared before the date.
The Spritz and Spaghetti menu is for guests 18 and over only, because it includes an Aperol Spritz: if anyone in the group is under 18, choose another menu. Minors take part with an adult who takes responsibility for them, for example a teacher or a tutor.
A regular menu can't be made gluten-free, not even for one portion: in this case, the whole group chooses one of the two gluten-free menus, pasta and tiramisù or pizza and gelato, for up to 30 people. For a bigger group, write to our staff. Our kitchen is not certified gluten-free.
We're at Piazza Margana 22, in the historic center: on foot it's about 2 minutes from Piazza Venezia, 5 from the Colosseum and 10 from Campo de' Fiori and the Pantheon. For tips on getting here from Termini or from where you live, ask in the chat or ask our staff.
Yes, if there's space you can book even at the last minute. You'll see the open dates and time slots in the booking calendar on this page; if a date is full, write to our staff in the chat or by email to find an alternative.
It depends on the menu you choose: for example, gelato takes about an hour and a half, Roman pasta about two hours, and fresh pasta and tiramisù about three hours. These times are approximate: if you stay at the table chatting, nobody will rush you.
There's no dress code: we just recommend comfortable clothes. If you like, you can also take notes during the lesson.
